Hunts Point Cooperative

Meat Market

Butler Associates was brought on by the Hunts Point Cooperative Meat Market to promote the unique and positive multi-billion-dollar economic impact its member companies have across the New York region. The Meat Market Cooperative employs some 3,000 people, preparing, selling and supplying 2.5 billion pounds of meat that feeds New York and much of the Northeast region.

Our team created a range of news storylines and secured dozens of feature news and business stories. Significant media results range from profile stories in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Crain’s New York Business, CNBC, Fox Business, New York 1 News, New York Daily News, along with widely read editorial pages.

Butler Associates arranged for a front-page New York Times food & wine column about the Mosner Family Brands’ butchery class for average New York foodies. Then, Crain’s New York Business spotlighted one of that firm’s owners about his career journey from Wall Street to helping grow the family business.

Leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, stories about one of the largest deli meat distributors, Nation’s Best Deli Meat, aired on a television broadcast reaching 2 million. It featured the company demonstrating the process to make the New York-style corned beef they supply across 26 states.

For Nebraskaland and P&S Select Foods, our team created a trend story about the growing demand for exotic meat in the U.S. This narrative featuring both firms appeared across three continents and included the Wall Street Journal, Singapore Business Times, CNBC TV, Fox Business News, Thomson Reuters, Yahoo Finance and dozens more.

For the Thanksgiving season, we secured a full-page spotlight story in the New York Daily News for Nebraskaland, which supplies over 1 million pounds of holiday turkeys.

These and dozens more strategically developed and placed earned media stories came because of the Butler team’s insights and ability to create and place news. Each unique news article helped significantly elevate the companies of the Hunts Point Cooperative Market and their brands to a higher level.
